The Cloverfield Paradox - a lesson in how to produce a bad film

1 out of 5

One wonders what possessed the likes of David Oyelowo, Daniel Bruhl and our own Chris O'Dowd to partake in this film. Maybe they were sold a different script. One also wonders at what point these fine actors discovered they were in a car-crash of a film. I suspect when Chris O'Dowd had to utter some crazy lines about his severed arm.

If you want to see how the whole Cloverfield thing began, this is a poor-man's Prometheus or Alien Covenant. Where those films went awry, The Cloverfield Paradox is just silly where things happen without explanation or closure. It's just a mess and a waste of a talented cast.

Avoid.
